Do you have flat feet, low back pain or plantar fasciitis? Custom orthotic insoles help alleviate foot pain by stabilizing imbalances to restore natural movement of the feet. Problems with foot biomechanics cause pain in the feet as well as other parts of the body. Pain can be minimized or alleviated with use of the appropriate orthotic inserts. Orthotics are not for everyone, but sometimes they are needed to help bring the subtalar joint back to neutral to help balance the rest of the body's movement. You remember the old song; The foot bone's connected to the: so on and so on. Just like a house that has a poor foundation, if your foundation is weak, then the rest of the body will be weak and prone to injury.
"Throughout my years of training beginning in High School with the 5k, College with the 8k, and then continuing on with the marathon and beyond I have always relied on professional advice to properly train my body to perform at it's highest ability. I had the luxury of physical trainers, coaches, and equipment throughout High School and College and utilized them weekly. When I moved to Greenville in 2009 I quickly realized the absence of a reliable physical therapy resource and watched my rate of injury increase. Performance Therapy came highly recommended through numerous success stories of other local athletes competing at all levels and I decided to attend one of their running clinics. I was very impressed that the entire staff of Performance Therapy came to the free event and could tell they genuinely cared about each individual athlete. This same personal treatment is felt every time I come in for an appointment and interact with the thorough staff. My performances have spoken to the comprehensive analysis' and experiences I have had and will continue to have at Performance Therapy. Thank you for helping me maintain a high level of fitness, for your unselfish community outreach, and your unwavering dedication to helping athletes achieve their goals!"
